THE GRADUATES OF LAW FACULTY ON PATH IN LIFE

THEY FOUGHT FOR THEIR COUNTRY

During 80 years that the faculty of law acted, its graduates have attended in the social and political life of the republic, served to people and motherland with honour. In 1941 when the Great Patriotic War began the teacher, post-graduate and students of the faculty of law went to front voluntary, attended in wars against enemies, showed heroism and unfortunately, most of them died.
Our scientists who returned back by passing from the fiery fronts of the war and devoted his destiny to the faculty of law took great care in the development of law science and preparation of lawyer cadres. Most of these people are not in life now. We remember their memory with respect: Dr. of law sciences, prof. Mammad Khalafov, Dr. of law sciences, prof. Aziz Asadov, Dr. of law sciences, prof. MARAT ALTMAN
Marat Mikhaylovich Altman, candidate of Law sciences, assis. prof. was military fighter pilot during the war and fought till 1944. As he wounded badly in one of the fights he was released from the war and after he treated and recovered he devoted all his life to the Law faculty of ASU.

ALİ ALİYEV
Ali Aliyev, candidate of Law sciences, assis. prof. fought in Crimea front, after he returned back from army he entered to the Law faculty of ASU and graduated in 1949 and he showed scientifical and pedagogical activity in the faculty.

GEORGİ SAVOSKİN
Georgi Tixonovich Savoskin, the chief teacher born in May 10, 1923, attended in the fights for Stalingrad, after the war worked in SSC system, was engaged in scientifical and pedagogical activity in Constitution department of Law faculty.

GASIM MANAYEV
Gasım Manayev, Dr. of law sciences, prof. entered to law department of BSU and was called to the army in June 22, 1941. He attended in Stalingrad fights in 1942 as a company leader in the second division of anti-aircraft artillery 1077.…
Let’s look through to one moment in his life. The 16^th tank and third motor division of the enemy efforted to enter Stalingrad from north in August 23, 1942, but ı anti-aircraft artillery 1077 blocked their way. The terrible fights against 500 thousand troop of the enemy continued until 3^rd of the February, i.e. till the defeat of the enemy in Stalingrad front. Gasim Manayev as thousands of Soviet soldier and officer implemented his civil duty in these fights.
After Gasim Manayev has left the war as a commander of anti-aircraft artillery in south front and in the terrible fights in Ukraine he entered the law faculty in September 1945. He graduated from the university with honour in 1949 and stayed in post-graduate. After he passed scientifical-pedagogical path, he became scientific doctor, professor and the director of the department.
Gasim Manayev was awarded by Civil war order, some medals and honorary command as his services in fronts.

IBRAHIM KARIMOV
Ibrahim Ahmed Karimov, the candidate of the law sciences, assistant professor, was born in May 9, 1923 in Baku. He entered to the Industry University of Azerbaijan in 1939, he voluntary went to the front remaining his study unfinished when the war began in 1941. He was released from the army in 1944 as he wounded. According to the bravery he showed in the war he was awarded with the order of “Great Civil War”, “for the Defence of Caucasus”, “for Bravery”, “for the Victory of Great Civil War” and other medals. He enterd the law faculty of Azerbaijan State University in 1945, after he graduated there in 1950 he stayed as a teacher in the department of Soviet State Law. He defeated the dissertation of candidate in 1953 in Tbilisi. He was the author of some books such as “Soviet State bodies”, “Soviet Construction”. He died in June 15, 1988.

MEHDI MEHDIYEV
Mehdi Samad Mehdiyev, the candidate of law sciences, assistant professor, was born inGiragh Kasaman village of Aghstafa district in September 15 1924. After he finished the secondary school he was sent to the army in 1942, he was awarded with many orders and commands for his bravery. He was released from the army in 1943 as he was wounded badly. He entered the law faculty of Azerbaijan State University in 1944 and graduated from the university in 1949. At the same year he was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan SSR. He worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Daghistan in 1954-1960. Then he continued his work again in the Ministry of Internal Affairs System of Azerbaijan in 1960. He retired on a pension in the title of colonel-leutenant in 1976.
He began scientific activity since 1976, was the candidate of a degree in the Law faculty of ASU and began his activity as ateacher since 1980. After he defeated the Ph.D. theses in Kharkhov in 1984 he got the title of the candidate of law sciences, was the assistant professor of the Law faculty in 1985. He was the dean of the law faculty of the University of “Tafakkur” and worked in this position till 2007. Now he was retired on a pension.
